About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic National Pallets Administration Support Officer to work closely with a small team reporting to our National Pallet Coordinator. You will be based at either Sunshine West Victoria or Norwood South Australia.
Your key challenge will be to ensure the correct utilisation of pallets operating with the minimum number of hired pallets together with minimal wasted or lost pallets. You will rely heavily on accurate data entry and have a high attention to detail. This will be balanced with your excellent customer service approach and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
You will also assist with the ongoing training of our Drivers with regards to their role in pallet management and also deal with external trading partners and pallet provider Account Managers, ensuring the best outcome for Northline is achieved.
This is a full-time permanent position and will require the successful candidate to work 5 days a week Monday - Friday. Some flexibility with regards to working-from-home will be available once the key induction, training and familiarisation of the role is complete.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • All pallet tasks are performed on as per the daily Branch and National pallet checklist;
  • Responsible for assisting in the reconciliation of Northline’s National Pallet Accounts;
  • Ensure that Northline’s spend on pallets is as low as possible while removing the risk of lost equipment
  • Assist National Pallet Coordinator with working with the Branch Pallet controllers and Northline National Managers on pallet rules, terms and structures
  • Assist in ensuring zero losses of hired pallets across all branches;
  • Assist in ensuring all Pallet Dockets are entered into Freightrack/2ic, ensuring 100% accuracy;
  • Assist in meeting National pallet reporting deadlines; and
  • Other duties as required.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a similar Pallet Management role essential ideally with a large National Transport/Logistics/Supply organisation;
  • Experience using 2ic pallet Software together with high data entry skills (speed and accuracy);
  • High level of problem solving skills within the data entry area;
  • Have a Customer Service approach at all times;
  • Qualifications in Business Administration desired, but not essential;
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, email applications, etc.;
  • Highly organised, structured approach to tasks, target oriented, and outcome focused;
  • Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks / objectives;
  • Strong communication skills; and
  • The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
